Halloween is not just fun and treats! We did a lot of learning today too.
Here we are working in groups doing Pumpkin Math and there are a few examples of an artistic response to the poem "5 Little Pumpkins" that we made today.
The children and parents had a spooktacular time at the Halloween parade today. Halloween is one of my favourite celebrations because it is so much fun to dress up, and get all of that candy! There are so many fun activities and lessons that use the Halloween theme and I love to decorate my house and room for the trick-or-treat fun.
Here are some photos of the Halloween parade today.
Today we went outside for Science and caught some tadpoles. We put them in our classroom aquarium. In the coming weeks we will observe their growth and change from tadpoles into frogs and then release them back into the wild.
We are finishing up our Science unit on Air and Weather. One of our assessment pieces and goals are for students to be able to report the weather including: observations, temperature, clouds and wind conditions. Here is an example of an excellent weather report! More to come in the next few days!
