I wanted to share some photos of our Social Studies unit, "Families Around the World."
Here are some of the family trees we made:
Students did research on the 7 continents and made posters in small groups, that can be seen in the back ground. Students dressed up in cultural dress for our International Food Feast.
Parents and children worked together to complete some learning activities before our meal during the International Food Feast.
The delicious international foods buffet. Thank you parents!!!!

Visit to a Chocolate Factory
The students visited a small chocolate factory to support our Social Studies unit on how things go from farm to table. We learned about how chocolate is produced. We saw chocolates beginnings as a pod on a tree, to how it is packaged for sale at the store. The students even had the opportunity to taste the chocolate and take a bar home with them!
Enjoy the pictures.
