What do Teachers do When Kids are Not at School?

You might be wondering what your teacher does when students have a P.D. Day.... well, let me tell you, we do a lot!

This P.D. Day the First Grade Team led a CFG (Critical Friends Group- see past post about this) meeting to tune our Non-Fiction Writing Rubric. We had a nice group of participants, with representation from EC 3, EC 4, Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, Art and ESL! The participants took ownership of the work, as if it was their own, and really helped us improve our rubric, which will improve student achievement! We also worked with a fantastic facilitator who helped keep the group focused and following the protocol.
